Weekend Recap

On Saturday, was the first Forest Park Hill Climb.  It was a great success.  Most of the participants were running/hiking for the first time.  Some had never been to the park.  There were two runners that "almost" finished all 12 hills (were on #11) before the buzzer.  The participants have to complete as many hills as they can within the 30 minute time span.  There will be other Hill Climbs throughout the month were they can continue to compete against themselves.

We also organized another OCR training at the Japanese Gulch in Mukilteo on Sunday.  We had 11 tough participants that endured running up hills, climbing walls, planking, squatting using logs, and carrying tires/logs.  Everyone felt accomplished & seem stronger after each training.

Afterwards, we headed over to kickoff the Million Stairs Challenge in Shoreline.  We talked to a lot of people as they made their way up and down the stairs.  The City's goal is to go up 3 million stair steps as a community.  They are well on their way to reaching this goal!

We look forward to a summer of meeting new people, introducing people to our fitness programs, and increasing the community's overall health and fitness.
