Nutrition Lessons - Part 2

Have you heard of spiritual eating?  Spiritual eating is conscious eating & involves an awareness of the eating process from beginning to end, & includes thinking about how dietary choices affect others.  If the expression, "We are what we eat," is true, then eating food that has been processed with fear, anger, resignation, or disgust has the ability to pass on the vibrations of those emotions to the person who eats the food.

Did you know?
-About 29 animals per average American meat eater are killed every year.
-Since the 1970s, meat & poultry production has increased 500% while the population of the US has only grown 33%
-67% of beef cattle in the US are treated with artificial growth hormones.

-Almost 50% of fish in the US comes from fish farms.

What you can do:
-Eat whole foods.
-Reduce your consumption of commercial beef, port, and poultry.
-Try eating meatless meats at least 1-2 days per week.
-Choose dairy products, labeled "rBGH-free, rBST-free, or organic"
-Know where factory famrs are located, how they dispose of their waste, & what drinking water sources may be at risk.

Lots to think about...
